A woman recounts memories of her existence
in a land desolated by an atomic disaster,
questioning the power struggle inherent to
territorial demarcation.

I had a house with walls and windows
But where it stood, I can’t remember
how the mortar came undone,
how it flaked and turned to dust.
And as our time became inversed I fled
towards another land.
